Where to go Camping
Buffalo Trail Council has two camps the first is Camp Thomas in Big Spring, Texas and it's main attraction is a full COPE course; the second camp is Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch (BTSR) which is located in the Davis mountains and is the pride and joy of our council. BTSR is a 9,320 acre ranch that features rugged backcountry perfect for programs such as backpacking, climbing, horseback riding, and much more!
Camp Thomas
Camp Thomas COPE course is located on 51+ acres of rugged and true West Texas topography. It is a very impressive COPE course, boasting an all inclusive array of challenge events second to none anywhere! The course was constructed by Rope Works Inc. and adheres to all Boy Scouts of America and Association for Challenge Course Technology standard.
