The Tatanka Lodge # 141 of the Buffalo Trail Council is proud to be recognized with a JTE score for 2015. The Lodge received a “Bronze” level recognition based on the recently completed re-charter. As with a Scouting Unit, the Lodge is scored based on their performance from the previous year.
There are many criteria that range from the average number of service hours each Lodge member completes to holding training sessions for the Lodge members and Officers. It is a testament to strong leadership that this Lodge was able to improve so dramatically over last year.
Credit for this success begins with our Lodge Chief, Ethan Iosola. Ethan took on a daunting task by running for Lodge Chief. He served his office effectively and passionately. Credit must also go to Lodge Advisor Robert Orona. Robert has put in countless hours guiding and mentoring the officers of our Lodge. Robert took the reins from Dr. Randall Kelly who had done an outstanding job of reviving the spirit that can only be found within the Order of the Arrow. The somewhat overwhelming task of tracking membership, activities and those coveted beads was in the tremendously capable hands of Peggy Washam and Vivian Iosola. There are too many others to thank to be mentioned.
Seth Hamby has taken the helm of this ship and has already begun to make sure 2016 will be an even more successful year. A huge pat on the back goes out to everyone that contributed to the success our Lodge has been recognized with.
Here’s to GOLD for 2016!
