The camp is often used for aquatic merit badge sessions, Cub Scout Day Camp, Boy Scout camping, Woodbadge training, and even family reunions. The proximity to Camp Thomas COPE course makes Hughes Aquatic Base a great place to stay during COPE events or just all around fun on the water. Hughes Aquatic Base has canoes, rowboats, and sailboats that also provide great recreation.
