One of our founders, Dr. E. Urner Goodman, said that “Things of the spirit are what count: brotherhood – in a day when there is too much hatred at home and abroad; cheerfulness – in a day when the pessimists have the floor and cynics are popular; service – in a day when millions are interested in getting or grasping, rather than giving.” With this in mind, please join us as we recognize those who have maintained the Scout Oath and Law and have exemplified the values of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness and Service in their daily lives.
It is looking like this might be our best fellowship yet. Registration is scheduled to start at 5:30, with the dinner following at 6:00 pm. The banquet will be located at Odessa Regional Medical Center Auditorium, on the south side of the hospital. The entrance can be found on the east side at the south east corner. Parking is to the south of the building.
This special occasion is open to all past and current members of the OA and their guests. All OA members and BSA members should wear their Scout uniforms, guests should dress nicely–it is a special occasion.
To register you need to contact Gracie Quintela 432-570-7601 Gracie.Quintela@scouting.org or visit the Midland Office. Payments can be made at the Midland Office, online through the council website, or at the door. You can also prepay for next year’s membership dues ($10 per member) and for the Lodge Assembly/Ordeal Weekend in May.
For questions about the event feel free to contact our Lodge Chief or any of our Lodge Advisers.
